The big difference between a “jazz blues” and a “regular” 12-bar blues is the addition of the ii7 V7 I7 progression. Also listen for the iii7 and the VI7 chords – they don’t get played every time so this will keep you on your toes and listening carefully. The blues and pentatonic scales will get you through this progression, but to add a more “jazz” sound to this blues, try reaching for chord extensions such as the 9th, 11th, and 13th as well as tension notes such as the b5, #5, b9 and #9. Make use of the iii and VI chords in bar 8 (that lead to Amin), and the ii V in bars 9 and 10 that lead back to G7. That is where your tension notes go. Have fun exploring this essential song form! 140 BPM.
